VILLA GHOA - Unique Villa, Pool & Rooftop

From the moment you pass through the gate, you will be captivated by the vastness and distinctive charm of this villa. The entrance to the property leads to a large, secure parking area that easily accommodates 3–4 vehicles; then comes the first surprise—a water feature that guides you into the heart of the estate. You will soon realize that this stay will be unlike any other… welcome to Villa Ghoa!

The villa is divided into two buildings—each with its own entrance, suites, and living areas—that connect around the swimming pool.
In the first wing, the ground floor features a light-filled living room, complete with a plush sectional sofa, a large dining table for eight guests, and a wide-screen TV integrated into a stylish, custom-designed unit. The kitchen, which opens onto the living area, is fully equipped: it includes a large American-style refrigerator with a water and ice dispenser, built-in oven and microwave, a central island with a breakfast bar, a dishwasher, and a bean-to-cup coffee machine. The laundry room is fitted with a washer-dryer and ample storage space. Also on this level is an air-conditioned suite, featuring a 160x200cm bed, a walk-in closet, and an en-suite shower room. Upstairs, a gallery of jerseys from legendary football players adds an unexpected touch of character. On the mezzanine, there is an office space equipped with a printer, leading to two additional air-conditioned master suites. Each of these includes a 180x200cm bed, a spacious en-suite shower room, a walk-in closet, a private toilet, and a small terrace offering views of the sea, mountains, or forest.

The second wing features an expansive entrance area where you can lounge on cushions overlooking the pool. Further along, you will be charmed by the light-filled kitchen, complete with a large white micro-cement bar, rattan pendant lights, and illuminated wall niches—the perfect setting for long, leisurely breakfasts. For those seeking a bit of peace and privacy, there is a suspended net—adorned with a mural of Bob Marley—ideal for taking a nap or getting lost in a good book. Two additional air-conditioned master suites complete this section of the house; each includes a 160x200cm bed, an en-suite shower room, a walk-in closet, a toilet, and a private terrace facing the garden.
On the lower level, the TV room offers a space for everyone—young and old alike—to gather for a great movie or some console gaming (PlayStation 5).

Wherever you cast your gaze, you will see the splendid swimming pool and its overflow hot tub, measuring 10m x 3.50m and 3.50m x 3.50m, respectively. Both large pools are heated from May to October and are each equipped with an alarm. However, for safety reasons, we advise against renting Villa Ghoa if you have young children, as the water channel separating the two houses could pose a risk of falls. On the expansive terrace, you will find a row of three sun loungers, a dining table shaded by a large parasol, and a four-poster daybed.

At the back of the villa, a charming Creole-style kitchen nestles beneath a timber-framed roof adorned with string lights; it features stainless-steel fixtures, a large bar, a high table, and an authentic brick, wood-fired oven. Whether preparing cari, grilled dishes, or rougail, cooking here follows the traditions of Réunion Island—paced by the glow of the embers and the flow of conversation. Evenings continue in the Balinese-style lounge area, set within a vast, fully enclosed garden planted with tropical flora.

And the best for last: an outdoor staircase leads up to a rooftop terrace, complete with glass railings and an unobstructed view of the mountains, the lush vegetation, and the ocean. It is the perfect spot to take in the magnificent sunsets of Réunion Island.

The villa is located in the heart of the fishing village of Étang-Salé-les-Bains. The beautiful black-sand beach and its lagoon are just a 10-minute walk away, while local shops, restaurants, and playgrounds for children and adults alike are a 2-minute walk away. The Bourbon Golf Course can be reached in 5 minutes by car.
